Rosendo A. Forns, Esq. is a founding partner of Barket & Forns, PLLC and an experienced civil trial attorney representing businesses, property owners, contractors, and individuals throughout Florida. He practices in state and federal courts and handles a broad range of litigation matters, including commercial disputes, personal injury claims, insurance coverage and bad-faith litigation, first-party property insurance claims, consumer privacy matters, labor and employment disputes, and other complex civil litigation.
Mr. Forns began his legal career representing insurance carriers, concentrating on first-party property litigation, fraud investigations, insurance coverage disputes, and bad-faith claims. That experience provided him with valuable insight into insurance claims-handling practices and litigation strategies—perspective he now uses when representing clients in complex insurance disputes.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Forns expanded his practice to include commercial litigation, personal injury matters, consumer privacy disputes, and other civil litigation. He has represented policyholders, business owners, contractors, mitigation companies, and individual consumers in a wide range of matters.
In addition to his insurance and commercial litigation practice, Mr. Forns represents individuals who have suffered significant injuries as a result of negligence and advocates for consumers whose personal information has been improperly collected, disclosed, or compromised. His litigation background allows him to navigate matters involving significant financial consequences, complicated legal issues, and contested liability.
Mr. Forns is known for a practical, common-sense approach to litigation. He tailors his strategy to the particular facts, challenges, and objectives of each matter while providing candid guidance regarding the strengths, weaknesses, risks, and realities involved. Whether through negotiation, arbitration, or trial, his focus is on developing efficient legal strategies while remaining attentive to the practical considerations that often drive successful litigation outcomes.
